Robins Air Force Base is located 100 miles south of Atlanta in the heart of Georgia. Access is via I-75 or I-16 as well as the Macon Regional airport or Atlanta's Jackson-Hartsville International airport. Additionally the area has seven major freight terminals and is served by the Norfolk/Southern Railroad and two major seaports.

Its location puts it in a perfect climate locale with 365 flying days available per year with no air space congestion. Its locale is ideal for joint military training due to proximity of Army, Navy and Marine combat a units and training ranges. For example:
