Mid GA Prep Plan

Through the 2002 Defense Authorization Act, Congress approved a round of Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) to be finalized in 2005. This authorization initiated a flurry of activity within defense communities through out the country. Middle Georgia was no different.

The Middle Georgia community was at a great advantage since the community had been working BRAC type issues continuously through the Partnership. Obviously, the Partnership swung into higher gear with the looming BRAC 2005.

This increased activity was only possible through the generous contributions of Middle Georgia. Through the initiative and leadership of Warner Robins Industry Now Group (WRING), over $1.5 million dollars was raised to enable conduct of the Middle Georgia BRAC prep and execution plan.

The Middle Georgia plan, and all actions required to execute the plan, was centered on portraying our
