The School of Engineering prepares students to serve the rapidly changing demands of a new century. We provide opportunities for practical work experience, international study and community service. Our graduates are equipped to deal with technical topics and with the challenges of practice in the future.

The Aerospace, Trade and Industry programs prepare students for exciting and lucrative careers in a wide range of high demand occupations. Students will learn theory and knowledge needed to be successful and will get hands- on experience using the same state-of-the art equipment utilized in the industry of their choice. Whether you are interested in one of the craft trades like carpentry, welding or machine tool technology, or one of the technical programs like geographic information systems or aerospace, or you want to command an 18 wheeler over the open road, all of our programs are designed to prepare you to successfully launch your new career.

At Middle Georgia State University we’re committed to providing educational opportunities to fuel your dreams. We have a wide array of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate programs that run the spectrum from the traditional liberal arts to professional programs to flight and aviation studies. Each of our five campuses boasts premier educational facilities, and MGA provides the technology-rich environment that you need to achieve your goals.

CAFST has an enrollment of approximately 500 (growing) undergraduate and graduate students. We are extremely proud of the College’s students and its wide recognition for excellence in undergraduate education, research and outreach programs. The College is ranked 25th nationally in the production of African American Agriculturists. CAFST has also been the University’s leader in placing first time applicants into medical, dental, veterinary and pharmacy Schools/Colleges since 2001. The College has some of the most modern and well-equipped laboratories in the state and our scientists are securing external grant funds and conducting cutting edge research. Our students work with the scientists in these laboratories and is part of the reason for our national ranking and our students’ ability to enter professional and graduate schools.

VECTR offers courses in the following Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) programs through Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC). In an effort to provide flexibility for our veteran population and their families, many of these courses can be completed online.

The Robins AFB local chapter offers scholarships to deserving high school seniors pursuing degrees and careers in STEM related fields

The Robins Regional Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that supports Chamber educational programs. The mission of the Foundation is to promote, strengthen, and recognize quality education in the Robins Region. The purpose of the  Foundation is to promote excellence, strengthen our greatest asset – our people, and to recognize success in education in the Robins Region. The Foundation has a primary focus to increase Leadership Development, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and Literacy programs in the Robins Region.

The application deadline has been extended. Applications must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. Central Time on January 31, 2019.

Amazon Corporate LLC has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors who are taking or have completed an advanced placement computer science course who plan to continue their education at an accredited four-year college or university majoring in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or other computer related field of study.

Pre-Service and Intern opportunities feature mentoring and hands-on experiences at the Museum of Aviation.
